Katz, Marshall & Banks partner Debra Katz spoke at an Alliance for Justice event, “After Kavanaugh: A Conversation with Debra Katz & Ana Maria Archila.”
Ms. Katz discussed her experience representing Dr. Christine Blasey Ford during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings, and her work overall on behalf of victims of sexual harassment and assault. She spoke about the impact of Dr. Ford’s testimony, and how lawyers and activists can use the law and political channels to continue to fight for justice.
Ms. Katz was joined by Ana Maria Archila, the co-Executive Director of the Center for Popular Democracy, and a racial and economic justice and immigrants’ rights activist. Ms. Archila came to symbolize resistance to the Kavanaugh nomination when she confronted Senator Jeff Flake in the Capitol Building.
