Marilyn Robb Speaks at Women in Housing and Finance Panel

Katz, Marshall & Banks associate Marilyn Robb spoke at a Women in Housing and Finance panel, “AML Act of 2020 Drilldown: Whistleblower Protections.”  Women in Housing and Finance, a membership organization of professionals in the area of housing and finance, is non-partisan, nonprofit forum for business and policy experts to discuss law, policy, and developments in the housing and financial services industries.

The recently passed Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2020 (“AML Act”) established important reporting requirements for certain corporations, modernized important anti-money laundering systems, expanded incentives and protections for anti-money laundering whistleblowers, and more.

Ms. Robb spoke about the new law, including potentially unforeseen obligations for financial services companies, and advised the audience on best practices if they feel the need to report a lack of compliance with the AML Act.
