SEC Issues $14 Million Award to Anonymous Whistleblower

The Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") announced on Tuesday, October 1, 2013, that it would award more than $14 million to a whistleblower who provided information that led to the recovery of "substantial investor funds."  In order to best protect the whistleblower's anonymity, neither the name of the company nor the exact size of the sanction were announced.  Click here to learn more about the award, including comments by Katz, Marshall & Banks partner David J.
